Examples of Available Research Materials
Biographies: Newspaper clippings, family histories and genealogies, obituaries and several other documents have been collected by or donated to the Meeker County Museum. We can help you learn more about a specific person or groups of people.
Books: Meeker County Histories, area histories, cemetery records, Meeker County School records (including annuals), and over 200 publications on the Civil War.
Churches: Various anniversary booklets, histories and information on early members, and some photos.
G.A.R.: Records of Civil War Veterans, Civil War writings.
Maps: Maps and plats beginning in 1874

Military Records: Minnesota Military roster through WWI.
Newspapers: A majority of local Meeker County newspapers dating back to 1870.

Obituaries: An index to help find over 27,500 obituaries of Meeker County Residents.
Oral Histories: Interviews with local residents describing the early days in Meeker County.
Photographs: Large collection of photographs, some still needing identification.
